Our Leaders

A versatile team of engineers and researchers

Co-Founder, CEO

James H. Norman, Jr.

In 2008, James founded Ubi Video, one of the first aggregators of all things streaming video. By allowing users to view multiple video services through a consolidated experience, the platform could convolve various data sets to drive provider agnostic video recommendations. After Ubi was acquired by an MVPD, he moved on to develop GroupFlix, an a-la-carte streaming service. By cleverly bundling EST content, enabling users to select he shows they love in a low monthly subscription, the first viable a-la-carte model came to life. His latest venture is Pilotly, a consumer insights platform that enables content creators to get feedback from audiences at scale. James is a proud Michigander, a serious support of the resurgence in Detroit, and has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan.
